This is illustrated to the audience by presenting Bruno Mars as the main part in the video, this is shown by using lots of close-ups of the main singer allowing the audience to easily identify him, and his role in the music video. Bruno is also seen to be wearing bright clothing compared to the rest of the cast, allowing him to stand out and highlighting him as the centre of attention.

Goodwin's theory can also be applied to the video due to the editing. The editing is paced at the same speed of the song and changes when the song speeds up or slows down. An example of this is when it is cut on every beat and each time the camera angle changes with it.
